Hi all, pleased to be here and have a look at everything. I think having Independent implementations is very important, specialty in times like these. I am normally to be found over at btcchat slack where some of the big blockers huddle. Since I am entirely new to libbitcoin, I may just ask bluntly: Can libbitcoin be configured/used for BCC chain?

no problem. that said, it's open source and i believe there are some efforts to make libbitcoin components work with other alts like litecoin and dash. nothing is stopping anyone from supporting anything else explicitly

This includes configurable support for check-sequence-verify bips: 68/112/113 as well as a new config setting to specify invalid peer services...
This allows the operator to disconnect peers using invalid service flags to advertise hard fork intentions.
I have no plans personally to implement segwit in version3 as this would require rewriting much of it for version4...
As a result version4 may ship without a couple of the intended initial features so that segwit can make the EOY release target.
As soon as the current version4 node/blockchain/database work is operational it will be merged to master for testing. I expect that to be a few weeks.

@skaht wow, good to know about! It sounds like there's a hotfix. I saw a request for a new firmware update this week. Have you verified if that works?

@skaht: The changelog for 1.5.2 says "Clean memory on start", which sounds like it might address that issue ... for now
