Values internal to libbitcoin are always satoshi, do value/amount are generally sufficient. Adding “satoshi” becomes a type qualifier, which we try to avoid. We may do this in parameter lists as the concept requires explicitness in at least one location.

Hi Eric - Can you help me understand what you mean with "satoshi" becoming a type qualifier. I only know type qualifier in the context of "const" type for example ... thx

I mean that you are including type information into variable names. So a variable name shouldn’t include things like “string” or “list” but in this case shouldn’t include “satoshi” because all values in libbitcoin are satoshis, so you would just use “amount” or “value”.
