The original libbitcoin client DEALER implementation did not follow the recommended practice of adding the optional delimiter. Therefore, for backward compatibility reasons, the newer server allows both REQ and DEALER connections but does not require the delimiter. For this reason it must manage whether the messages are delimited. If not for this issue we would simply have required the delimiter.
