In this case you have an unknown failure condition which nobody has reported to date in v3. If the process crashes you should obtain the dump. 30 minutes is long for shutdown, even during initial block download, unless maybe you have a very slow machine with a HDD, but I doubt it. In this case the debug log can be helpful. But given you produced two failures in two runs, where there have been none reported in about a year time frame, I suspect something is different in your build or that there is actual hardware trouble (though this tends to be rare).
