@haarts are you implementing an SPV wallet on LibBitcoin? that would be awesome.
of course SPV is an incomplete security model, however when you want to do lighter Bitcoin blockchain related operations for instance from a smartphone or embedded device, syncing the blockchain headers to follow the PoW chain, is extremely useful (whether you get that chain from the P2P network or some other source), and using LibBitcoin as a universal Bitcoin library that does that kind of stuff to, is relevant.
