@pmienk @skaht has identified an OS X issue when building zmq on his system. It fails to build the documentation properly (configure auto detects if asciidoc or xmlto are installed and tries to build it if so). I noticed that none of our CI matrix builds appear to build zmq (though I could have sworn we had one, because I recall it not detecting asciidoc/xmlto and skipping the documentation build attempt when I first looked into this). We've found that using
--with-docs=no
to the zmq build works around the problem, but what I'm wondering is if that's acceptable, as opposed to determining why the documentation is having problems being built on his system (could be environmental, could be a broken zmq tarball, not sure). On my GNU/Linux system, zmq can be built properly (with docs), but regardless, libbitcoin doesn't require the zmq documentation, so I'm not sure if (sometimes) building it is desired when in fact it can cause failures on some systems. Thoughts?
