@Revive - If CT stays on either mainnet or testnet, there should be absolutely no inflation other than that prescribed by Bitcoin consensus rules. Homomorphic encryption properties of Ring CT, see https://www.elementsproject.org/elements/confidential-transactions/investigation.html, also ensures no extra inflation is induced. From a quick examination of https://www.elementsproject.org/elements/confidential-transactions/, it appears a new address and transaction type are needed to on chain support of CT. I’m guessing https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0068.mediawiki nVersion might have to be incremented to support a Ring CT capability.
