Bitcoin full node and query server

I've gotten a simple node up and running, after wresting with a whole bunch of config values (specifically database settings for regtest, which have no defaults afais), I managed to start it and get it to connect to a local bitcoind node. However, I'm not sure it's actually connecting to the node as I'm getting these messages:
