Without knowing what the project's about, just showing fastest local sync would probably be to setup a server with multiple peers to already sync'd nodes on the same switch/subnet. If RAM can't be extended, the SSD swap will definitely help. If you mean after sync, I think the hardware you have is plenty sufficient for any other kinds of demoing (i.e. showing great concurrent query performance, etc).
