Thanks for the guidance. I noticed that besides use for authentication purposes, https://github.com/libbitcoin/libbitcoin-explorer/wiki/bx-message-validate can also be used for the Proof-of-Existence (PoE) of cold storage funds without the need to thaw the coins.
