@jungly I've been thinking that an easy compromise solution for the store's hard shutdown issue would be to implement an alternative database driver. The database itself is trivial, just a small set of templates. We even substitute it in text cases as you know, using just a std::vector. The memory map is optimal for server scenarios - specifically rapid query, therefore optimized for mining and validation. Providing a database driver would allow for compromise in the desktop/wallet scenario where these performance characteristics are not required.
