Hi guys, I came across BlockSci. That's this tool from academia built to make very fast queries on the bitcoin blockchain. The advertise like this:

BlockSci’s design starts with the observation that blockchainsare append-only databases; further, the snapshots used for researchare static. Thus, the ACID properties of transactional databasesare unnecessary.

This reminds me a bit on libbitcoin's database design. Therefore, I wonder if it's possible to have such efficient queries in libbitcoin, too?
