I would not set up manual connections to Core seed nodes, they behave differently than Bitcoin nodes. Consider them ways to get addresses only, and not for Libbitcoin. Libbitcoin expects standard nodes as seeds, and we provide those by default. Core doesn’t want nodes syncing from its seeds, but the manual connections hold onto the seed nodes, preventing others if you are already at your total.
