I'm wondering, for my particular use case I am mainly interested in kind of 'seeing whats happening on the network'. I want to be sure I'm on the longest chain, but I don't really care about any block except for the last 100 or so and any new one coming in. Could I create a custom node that 1) downloads the header chain and then 2) starts following blocks starting at current - N? Would I then also need to change the blockchain library to allow it to ignore missing blocks 🤔 ?
