Anyhow I think the answer is that a custom IO backend cannot be trivially implemented in LB, without changing to become a macro, every single memory read and store operation that LB does anywhere to persistent memory, as these are currently in the form of memory load/store ops (e.g. *v = 123; printf(*v); )
