I didn’t check, but I believe the qrencode test was failing after upgrading qrencode because its output is a private format. It includes metadata that can change without affecting the module (visual) presentation. This is a good reason to not publish it from bx. The TIFF format (or any uncompressed image format), without margin or scaling, is a strict binary representation of the matrix of modules.
