I've pushed the numbers up to crazy levels, and it's solid and responsive. For a basic bitcoind standard config of like 8 outbound and inbound and 10k address pool it flatlines at 4mb RAM, just pulsing on ping/pong and address relay. At 1,000 outbound and 100k address pool it's about 64mb RAM.
