The last one is a very gradual climb that reaches 1000 right at the end. The memory totals displayed are off because they are after shutdown. But there is a clear memory-speed tradeoff. Also, at some point increased batch also slows returns. For this 5 seemed about right. But this also varies with timeout settings / network latency.
