Also added high resolution timer events to the log, with event id and arbitrary numeric field (no text). This uses the same pervasive logging object, but is on an independent subscriber. The event ID allows events to be filtered in the event handler. These are meant to be piped out to a service for static or dynamic reporting of fine-grained internal events (as via statsd). As with LOG writes, EVENT firings can also be compiled out.
