All other actions are parallelizable, so are not independently limiting. The two main write queries for block/tx validation (as opposed to confirmation) are set_confirmable(block) and set_connected(tx). The former completes for all blocks in 2 seconds, and the latter for all 817.5 million txs in 9 minutes - and these are sequential tests. So these are in no way restrictive queries.
