After more than a year of flawless store/network operation, I hit a deadlock last night. This showed up because of the intense level of write concurrency while also remapping memory maps as they are expanding (the undersized allocations mentioned above). Within database::map the two member mutexes ended up waiting on each other. It was entirely isolated to the one class and easy to reproduce under load.
