Holy shit... by reducing the configured thread count the sync rate with address indexing turned on (and the new block size metadata computation and write and larger txs links) I and now getting a full 1Gb/sec block download rate. With 24 threads configured it is back to redlining bandwidth and has only increased CPU to 30-40% vs. 20-30% without address indexing.
