On a 128GiB RAM machine with 64 cores, validating confirmability (without script validation) of all blocks requires about 90 minutes. Full chain validation (without confirmability) has independently tested out at 3 hours. That's before any caching or optimization work. I expect to be able to bring that down. Running these steps independently places a full chain download/validation/confirmation at under 6 hours, though on big machines these can be combined.
