After all that work the real perf of the default allocator and the custom allocator, which performs no actual allocations and invokes no destruct, is about the same - within the margin of error. At least with unlimited RAM, I haven't tried it in a memory constrained run. So that's still good, but the point was to resolve the thread-traversing-deallocation issue, which remains unresolved.
