So even though we are chaining allocations, the quantity is controllable vs. the excess allocation. And allocation is probably trimmable as well (I coded it up, but using realloc, but with the smaller allocations this remaps very frequently). The very low quantity of allocations, even with small granularity, resolves the forwarded block deallocation problem. Since all allocations apart from new chunks are entirely linear, and all deallocations are nop except for the chunks, it's very performant. Broke 60 minutes yesterday - which includes setting confirmation metadata (ready-to-run node).
