Above isn't entirely accurate. The network is maintaining 50% capacity under validation, but it's getting well past the validator in terms of work completion. Currently have 550k blocks downloaded with 400k blocks validated (in 39 minutes). That's 10.9% of the 850k chain by txs, and bn is fairly constant by tx, so we're looking at completion in 6 hours total (download and validation, not confirmation).
