Had to restart the run above after running into an intermittent store bug that was detected as a consequence of full validation. No impact to previously-determined benchmarks. So after fixing that I started up a concurrent download-validation on the windows mini overnight. That started hot but then CPU utilization dropped to about 60%. I assumed at first that it was thrashing because the drive was close to max. But I decided to increase thread count (set to 16 to match hardware) just in case it was configuration-starved. That bumped it up to about 95%. Increasing it more didn't help, but advancing validator thread priority got it up to 100% for most of the time (both network and validator had been set to normal). So it's making much better time. I'll plot the whole thing so as to see the inflection point.
