I just fired up BC v28 on the same machine, for a full validation run. In order to get as close as possible I configured the following. In my BN validation run I disabled all checkpoints (though I don't think this is really appropriate for any benchmarking, because they are consensus). I don't see them as configurable in BC (which is fine, because it doesn't make forks configurable like BN). So I just left that and set assumevalid to genesis. I set dbcache to the max value documented in the config file (this is a 256GB RAM machine). BN was configured to maintain 200 connections, but I don't think that setting that above the default of 125 for BN would be helpful for it, possibly detrimental - so left that. txindex is on and listening, txs, wallet are all off (same as BN). There's no way to get BN's level of indexation out of BC (I don't think "coins" is comparable, have to look into that). Also on this machine the hardware is not shani and is limited to av2, so that results in the same capability for both BN and BC.
