Bitcoin Core took 24.6 hours to sync to block 850,000 with default configuration (assumevalid for all), on:

Dell, Windows 10
32 Dual 2.1GHz cores
256GB 2400MHz RAM
4TB 7,450 MB/s SSD
PCIe3
AVX2, no SHANI
2.3Gps down / 40Mbps up Internet (measured)

On the same machine libbitcoin's Bitcoin Node (BN) completes to the same point and result in 57-61 minutes (with both full tx and spender indexes). BN storage is about 25 GB less than BC with txindex enabled, and 25 GB higher without it. BN with database.minimize enabled is another 50GB smaller (through input point consolidation), though neither were enabled in these runs.
