Looks like I misinterpreted part of the mini run. I didn’t notice that confirmation is significantly lagging validation (despite being faster and having higher thread priority). That’s most likely because confirmation concurrency is limited to block internals. So while the validation aspect will complete in a total of 14 hours (faster than the 17.8 projected, probably due to lacking taproot), the confirmation aspect will take much longer.
