Well this is pretty amazing. I'm running the maxi and mini at the same time on the same network, with fully-concurrent download, full validation and confirmation, with 50k and 10k windows respectively, and both are keeping all three phases in a tight band around the window. This has reduced disk activity on the mini from 100% to 30% and eliminated thrashing. The maxi is running at a 7.7 hour completion rate and the mini at a 12.7 hour rate (which will come down significantly with shani implemented).
