This is a new run in which I relaxed threading a bit and simplified the confirmation algorithm. So validation and confirmation are still loosely coupled to archive, and the thread priority is a weaker control, but the simpler algorithm keeps them tracking much more closely. But again, once they deviate too far, confirmation thrashing kicks in (at about 680k), until archive and validation complete.
