I've spent most of the week rebuilding a staircase in my house. Putting down new hardwood flooring. Pulled up the stair treads and found that the whole staircase was so crooked it would be easier to replace it than work around it as they did originally. The landing was unlevel because they didn't actually secure it to the house on two sides.
