Currently I target a load factor of 1.5, and doing this gets us between .61 and .96 for rounding the exponent up, and 1.22-1.92% when rounding it down. So still pretty reasonable. And it may be worth the additional 12.4 GiB in headers to round up, though this may vary by resource availability.
