Tracking consistently with previous runs so far. But the interesting part will be as the tables get larger. I've measured the cost of pre-confirmation query and storage during validation, and it's only 0.48% of the run! That's inline with the completion of every block validation, and accounts for less than count_sigops (0.67%). During validation script execution is 94% of the run, plus get_block at 2% and populate_prevouts at 2%. Signature verification is 82% (including signature hashing which takes about 15% (no shani)). 0.48% is a pretty amazing number for the most expensive part of confirmation. The final stage of confirmation is still a cost, but on its own it now runs about 30% CPU and is hitting much less data (no longer searching tables on the order of inputs/outputs).
