Built libbitcoin-node using install-cmake.sh (as per GH actions) -> bn is succesfully built, however when executing bn it gives this error?:
./bn: error while loading shared libraries: libbitcoin-database.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
This does not happen when using autotools, install.sh

  1. do you have some other installation?
  2. is libbitcoin-database.so located within the prefix directory?
pmienk20:13
specifically what are /home/user/libbitcoin-node/prefix/lib contents

no, clean fresh OS, deb12

off the top of my head it looks like the binary somehow lacks reference to the prefix directory. off the top of my head I can't remember how to inspect the binary for this. however, if this were the case, the CI system should be failing which it isn't.
pmienk20:18
however, shared library builds are not supported after a certain repository (can't remember, might be database) and aren't supported on windows at all.
pmienk20:21
It can't be -database, since -node is still passing CI with shared libraries

thanks for fast responses. should I open a GH issue?
pmienk20:23
Sure, I'll see if I can repro somewhere
