That was the end of my performance list, apart from updating store tests. So I'm going to work on my test bench, and get some runs at various memory sizes as we discussed yesterday. It's time for me to do a little clean up on the confirmation step reorganization, which was previously implemented and removed for concurrent confirmation testing.
Once that's back in place the basic node is complete. Basic node meaning headers first w/block sync (no tx relay, no blocks out, no compact blocks, etc.), just building the chain. The remaining protocols are not at all performance critical, and are easily reimplemented from v3.
So I think after I button this up I might move over to server and get the build working. That way we can start updating the endpoints and maybe get some performance testing going on.
