The test runs I've been doing are with header expansion of 4GiB, and with a certain number of table searches per insert. It looks the impact of 500 searches per insert is about a 10% additional time cost for both milestone and validation sync. The new hashmap filter design can achieve an average search rate across the whole table build, of 1 in 670 at a net header size increase of 4GiB (1 in 355 when the table is full).
