I've completed a test implementation of the fancy filter. I went with 28 bits of filter and 4 bits of sentinel in a 32 bit word. Generated some test data and ran it in constexpr and runtime tests all the way to 10 fingerprints populated (out of 16 possible). Behavior correct and implementation very simple and low computation. The above matrix was an effort to prevent the need to shift values as the filter grows, which works nicely.
