4.90 hrs total to block 899,536 on the maxi (current top). I estimate that on a modern machine of the same size RAM and threads, this would be about half the time, so about 2.5 hrs. I think it's feasible presently to complete full validation to 900k in under an hour on a 2.5Mbps WAN.
