The boost beast http request deserializer and response serializer are now integrated. There's a simple protocol class that gets attached to the channel upon connection. The channel parses the request, and dispatches the request object. The protocol subscribes to message notifications, receiving the request, and performs arbitrary processing to construct a response object, which it sends. The subscribe and send are the same as with p2p, except there is only a single message type to subscribe to and to send. For http this is sufficient, as the protocol then just handles page provisioning. It's identical to p2p processing, just sitting on top of existing structure.
