So on my "Big Mac", which has 768 GB of physical RAM, the process never gets above 26.5 GB usage (3.5%), because the OS is aggressively discarding pages. This causes thrashing despite extremely low resource utilization. This is the same behavior we saw on Linux before recent changes and a couple lines of config.
