Reviewing some macOS logs, I'm finding that this ridiculous operating system is actually monitoring disk writes (actually mmap page dirtying) to prevent SSD wear, and even though the node is append-only for all but file heads, which makes it very SSD friendly, macOS is seeing a very high write RATE and triggering its SSD protection.

8.59 GB in 33 minutes at ~4.34 MB/s, exceeding the ~99 KB/s average limit

WTF kind of ridiculous limiting is this. We write at ~ network download rate, which here is 2Gb/s, or 250MB/s, and it wants us under 100KB/s?
