So RPC channels sit on top of the basic JSON request/response objects, validate RPC and map to-from "function" calls by broadcasting to protocol subscribers. Otherwise it's fully json generic. This means that the same request/response objects can just as easily support non-RPC json serialization endpoints/formats.
