I completed a full generalization of raw tcp and websockets yesterday. Formerly we had independent socket methods for read/write of a tcp socket (fixed size only, for p2p) and read/write of a ws socket (variable size, not yet used). Now there are the same read/write calls for the socket regardless of socket type for both fixed size and variable size messages (based on asio buffer type overrides). This also holds for json-rpc overrides (completed a couple days ago). This significantly reduces code and in the socket and simplifies channel implementations.
