In terms of full validation, to 900k the old implementation consistently takes between 4.6 - 5.0 hrs, and the only run I have to 950k came in at 5.55 hrs. The two runs to 950k after the optimization both came in at 5.0 hrs. In other words, we also got almost 50k blocks validated for free at the higher end.
