We that ended up at about 3.5 hrs full validation baseline to 950k. The three signature batches accumulated 486GiB of signatures, and toward the end write time was most of the CPU time, resulting from flushing. This should mostly go away once the tables are purged in each window. Still, even 3.5 hrs isn't bad at all for full validation cost on this machine.
