Since we aren't yet capturing multisig/threshold, this is not yet efficient in total time. We are processing about 1/3-1/2 of all ecdsa sigs (op_checkmultisig) in script. The use of a 1M sig threshold is pretty arbitrary, bigger may be better or worse. This is running behind the last trial I ran where the threshold was tied to the currency window. The triggering cost is def lower in that approach.
