up and running, might need to do some param tuning but so far seems to be chugging through. this is 1gbps , but im requesting a 10 gbps link for this box

could still be off base tho! the tricky thing about trying to repro behaviour like this in the test is its too easy to do things in a way that doesnt match how the code actually runs, so would appreciate eyes on this
