batch generation has certain invariants that don't speed up. We need to populate the batch flat and normalized in RAM, and we need to evaluate scripts to get at the sigs. Anything we do to speed the evaluation up will also accrue as a benefit to inline CPU validation. CPU batching will always be an additive cost to CPU batching. So the optimization of the batch (e.g. pippinger) has to overcome that extra cost just break even. That seems very unlikely.
